Saturday morning class is now a Focus Stretch class - 60 minutes of stretching and breathing - a great way to start your weekend!

Focus in the Pines is the Wellness division of Marder Physical Therapy

offering ongoing Yoga Inspired Classes and  

The Peace Education Program.

 

 

Class Descriptions
Focus Flow 

Flow classes are 60 minutes and previous experience is recommended.  These yoga inspired classes are active - requiring greater flexibility and fitness then the stretch or gentle flow classes.  We ask that each student be aware of their body and be willing to modify as best for their body that day.

Focus Stretch/Balance 

Focus stretch/balance classes are 90 minutes and appropriate for all students. Yoga inspired - classes focus on flexibility, balance, strength, and breathing. We ask that each student  "take care of their body" only doing what feels right for that class, that day.   We begin laying on our mat to expand and awaken our spine, joints and muscles. Every other week this class will include the use of a Swiss Exercise Ball.  We have a few extra  - contact us to borrow one

  Focus Stretch  
 

Focus Stretch classes are 60 minutes and perfect for the newly inspired student or seasoned athlete.  Class emphasis is on stretching and breathing - the perfect way to start your weekend!

What to bring to class
What to Have Nearby for Class

Wear clothing that allows you to move freely.

It’s best to avoid substantial meals less than 2 hours before class. 

For all classes you will need a yoga mat, small blanket/pillow and stretch strap (bathrobe or martial arts belts are good.)

For stretch classes every other week we use an exercise ball - please contact us if you do not have your own. Exercise ball not necessary for Saturday AM classes.

For flow classes you will also need a yoga block and small playground ball.

The Peace Education Program

The Prem Rawat Foundation (TPRF) has developed the Peace Education Program (PEP) to help people discover inner resources such as strength, choice, and hope as well as to explore the possibility of personal peace.

The Peace Education Program is being presented via Zoom and is free of charge. For registration and additional class information - contact us.
